Instructor: David Starfield has lived and worked in UD for close to 40 years. For his contributions to the legal profession, he was recognized as a Life Fellow by the ABA's American Bar Foundation, as an AV rated attorney by Martindale and as a Superlawyer by Philadelphia Magazine. He has written extensively and presented seminars throughout his career.

Most of us want to stay in our homes forever, maybe you can. But let's look at it realistically. This class will address the considerations that will help you remain safe and healthy in your home. We will learn about fall prevention, balance exercises, home modifications and adaptions, and basic healthy practices. Most attendees find this class very practical and applicable.
Instructor: Patrice Erik is a physical therapist retiring after 43 years. She started at Einstein in the acute care settings. She then ran a company that provided physical therapists to all health care settings and consulted to industry. Patrice spent the last 18 years providing home care PT. Along the way she taught at many of the physical therapy universities.
LECTURE: The Art of Autumn and Science Behind It

Even though the days are shorter and air is cooler, fall reveals a gorgeous display of leaf color in our trees and shrubs. Enjoy the show as we see the variety of colors and patterns in foliage and learn why leaves turn from green to red, yellow, orange, rust, brown, mustard, burgundy and combinations of all of these beauties! We will suggest which plant species provide the best pictures and where to find these in arboreta, parks, and landscapes.
Instructor: With 35 years teaching horticulture at Saul H. S./Temple U, Lisa Blum puts her knowledge to use in her own garden. She assists with children’s programming at the Ambler Arboretum and is part of the PA Hort Society Tree Tenders team to train communities in the care of trees. Rutgers University, M.S. LECTURE: California Missions

This presentation will explore the California Missions, examining their architectural, cultural, and economic contributions, as well as their lasting impact on Indigenous communities and California’s historical memory. Attendees will gain an understanding of the missions’ legacy.
Presenter: A retired Spanish language and literature teacher, Alicia Romeu holds master’s degrees in Romance Languages, Latin American History, and Educational Administration. Born in Mexico City, she now serves as a Philadelphia Museum of Art guide and teaches at Temple’s OLLI.
